Chief A/C Engineer

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

Ø       Must have STCW 95 Certification

Ø       Holds appropriate licenses and certificates as required by regulations.

Ø       Applications: Windows XP, including Word, Excel

SOME POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø       The A/C Engineer is responsible to the First Engineer for the repair of problems in the Air Conditioning and Refrigerators and to follow and implement orders given by immediate supervisor.

Ø       Ensure that preventive maintenance on all Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Ice Maker systems are being preformed.

Ø       Ensure that all Ice machines, small refrigerators in all bars and Air Conditioning for passenger and crew cabins are being properly maintained.

Ø       Ensure that preventive maintenance is being performed on all Sea Water and Chilled Water Circulating pumps.

Ø       Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of all Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems.

Ø       Ensure proper operation of all fan rooms. Assures cleaning and routine maintenance.

Ø       Responsible for their area’s safety, cleanliness and operation.

Ø       Attend all department meetings.

Ø       Mandatory attendance at all assigned shipboard drills and emergency activities.

Ø       Create and implement ideas that will generate/increase revenue and/or reduce costs to the company.

Other related duties as assigned.
